provides life insurance at 1 time annual salary at no cost to the employee.
ACCIDENTAL DEATH/DISMEMBERMENT COVERAGE
SHORT TERM DISABILITY:
replaces 60% of gross earnings to a maximum of $1,000.00 per week.
LONG TERM DISABILITY:
replaces 60% of gross earnings to a maximum of $5,000.00 per month.
VOLUNTARY LIFE INSURANCE:
Employees may apply for supplemental life insurance in addition to the basic group life insurance. Coverage is subject to approval by the carrier (UNUM life).Your spouse and children can also be covered.
HABD MONEY PURCHASE PLAN:
The Housing Authority of the Birmingham District provides a mandatory retirement plan to all eligible employees who are regular full-time employees and have worked a minimum of 480 hours and successfully completed the Introductory Period. Loans are allowed.
Deferred compensation is a tax deferred account which allows employees to defer paying taxes until distribution of the funds. A minimum contribution of $10; Eligible to join upon employment; Bi-weekly Payroll Deducted; Hardship loans are allowed, determined by plan administrator.
